I know this post might not be that exciting but I have to space things out so I can meet my photo a day goal! The night my movers arrived I decided to cook since I had some real appliances! Below is my first real meal in my new place. Brown rice, chicken and broccoli! It tasted amazing...even I was surprised. But I think I cheated a little. I haven't received all of my spices yet (yes I mailed them to myself) so the only spice I have right now is Grill Mates Roasted Garlic and Herb....it is my salt and my pepper and everything in between. I have been putting it on fish, chicken and veggies.
I also went to my first meeting. It was a smaller staff meeting with the wing commander (known as Wolf), the vice (known as Wolf 2), the Director of Staff and a few others. This is a weekly meeting that either I will attend as Deputy or the Chief will attend, depending on who is available.
Off to the right you can see the meeting area! One of our sergeants also received his award from his previous base (he is fairly new as well and will be with me until March 2012) so I pasted a few photos below. Ms. Chang (middle) was shy for the first photo. She is holding our version of the Korean and American flags. Typically when you receive an award these two flags will be in the back drop. Since we didn't have any real ones we had to improvise. MSgt. Cohrs (right) was formally presented his award in front of wing staff with real flags.

The captain is the Chief right now until we get our new one in July.
That's all for now!
Up next....First Friday and Margaritaville!
